SETS is a South African Photovoltaic Industry Association (SAPVIA) accredited service provider which offers the PV GreenCard Solar Photovoltaic (PV) training courses.
SAPVIA established the industry-led PV GreenCard programme with the goal to promote safety and quality for PV installations. The programme focuses on skills development and training to build installer capacity to improve installation quality standards and compliance in line with local and international best practice.
The courses will equip participants with the necessary training to design, install and maintain solar PV systems, enabling them to enter the job market with the appropriate skills as well as with the possibility of becoming an entrepreneur. Trainees receive a Durban University of Technology certificate from a EWSETA accredited centre
To become a PV GreenCard assessed installer, trainees are required to complete the 2-Day Assessment Exam and hence qualify to issue a PV GreenCard.
